Delaware Black Foxes

We are a rugby league team based in Wilmington Delaware.  Always looking for players or fans.

The Black Foxes is a semi-professional rugby league team that currently competes in the Rugby League United (RLU). In the inaugural season of the club, Delaware competed in the USARL and finished with a 1-7 record, splitting victories with the Bucks County Sharks. In the club's second season they qualified for a playoff berth with a victory over the DC Slayers and home field advantage with a higher point differential in their win versus the North Virginia Eagles. A win over NOVA the following week was Delaware’s first postseason victory in the club’s history. Since their inception, the Black Foxes have had numerous domestic players named to the USARL All Star match as well as the USA Hawks National Team. Their names are listed below:

Martwain Johnston- USA Hawks World Cup Player (2017)

Chris Wiggins- USARL North All Star, USA Hawks Player

Kevin Wiggins- USA Hawks Player 

The Black Foxes currently play in the recently renovated Eden Park in Wilmington, DE.  In addition to being home pitch of the Black Foxes, Eden Park has also hosted combines for the USA Hawks and the Colonial Cup match between the USA and Canada national rugby league teams.

Coach

Liam Mulhall

Coach Mulhall is a former semi-professional rugby league player who has played for clubs such as the Ipswich Jets, Brisbane Norths Devils, Western Reds (WA Reds) and Aston Bulls.

He is an assistant coach at Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the Brisbane A-Grade Rugby League (BRL) under the Queensland Rugby League (QRL) before departing to coach the Delaware Black Foxes for their 2020 and 2021 season in the USA Rugby League.
